The KidSuper Story

KidSuper is the brainchild of Colm Dillane, a visionary designer whose journey from selling t-shirts in his high school cafeteria to becoming a globally recognized fashion icon embodies the modern creative entrepreneur's dream.

Born in New York City to street vendor parents, Colm's early life was marked by constant movement—from Chicago to Mexico City to Wisconsin, and finally back to NYC. This nomadic childhood instilled in him a unique perspective and adaptability that would later define his creative approach.

The KidSuper brand began as "Brick Oven T-Shirts" in high school, where Colm and his friends printed designs in their basements and sold them in the school cafeteria. After a brief detour to Brazil to play soccer, Colm attended NYU for mathematics while running his clothing operation from his dorm room—until the university threatened to expel him for turning his living space into a retail store.

Undeterred, Colm secured a storefront in Brooklyn that doubled as his living space. He transformed it into a creative hub with a recording studio, art space, and workshop. The KidSuper building became a magnet for artists, musicians, and creatives, evolving into what many have called the modern-day Warhol Factory.

From collaborations with Puma to Paris Fashion Week shows, from music videos with millions of views to art installations, KidSuper has grown from a t-shirt hustle into a multi-disciplinary creative powerhouse. In 2023, Colm was recognized as an LVMH Prize finalist, cementing his place among fashion's elite innovators.
